Geeks for Non-Geeks
A lot of freeware is written by geeks for geeks, with an emphasis on
efficiency and ease-of-use... for power users. While we
work hard to keep our software efficient, our emphasis is on reliability
and ease-of-use... for average users.
This software is written by geeks for non-geeks. If
you're looking for the other kind you may be disappointed, but please
don't complain, this software is simply not made for you.
Talking Alarm Clock lets your computer remind you of
important dates and events.
-
It uses Microsoft® Agent
to show a talking animated alarm. The alarm can also play any
sound you choose and includes a handy snooze button.
-
An alarm can be set to go off once,
daily, weekly, monthly or annually, with very flexible
scheduling. Each alarm can have multiple schedules.
-
An icon in the Windows®
system tray gives quick access to the alarm clock. The New Alarm
Wizard makes adding an alarm fast and easy.
-
Talking Alarm Clock's
windows are easy on the eye, with soft colors and gentle
transitions. There's also help balloon that shows a full
explanation of each part of the Alarm Clock window.
Talking Desktop Clock adds new features to your Windows®
XP system tray clock.
-
It shows the time in the system tray
and/or on the desktop, with a choice of many attractive clock
styles, analog or digital.
-
It uses Microsoft® Speech
or Microsoft® Agent to announce the time on the hour,
½ hour, or ¼ hour. It can also play a chime on the hour, ½
hour, or ¼ hour.
-
Talking Desktop Clock
version 0.9 is an incomplete pre-release version.

technical jargon to understand.
